A person\u2019s selfish desires are set against The Spirit, and The Spirit is set against one\u2019s selfish desires. They are opposed to each other, so you shouldn\u2019t do whatever you want to do. But if you are being led by The Spirit, you aren\u2019t under the Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The actions that are produced by selfish motives are obvious since they include<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>sexual immorality, moral corruption, doing whatever feels good, idolatry, drug use and casting spells, hate, fighting, obsession, losing your temper, competitive opposition, conflict, selfishness, group rivalry, jealousy, drunkenness, partying, and other things like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I warn you as I have already warned you, that those who do these kinds of things won\u2019t inherit God\u2019s kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>But The Fruit of The Spirit are<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness,<br>Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no law against things like this. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the self with its passions and its desires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we live by The Spirit, let\u2019s follow The Spirit. Let\u2019s not become arrogant, make each other angry, or be jealous of each other. \u2014Galatians 5:16-26<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Watch out for false prophets.<\/strong> They come to you dressed like sheep, but inside they are vicious wolves. You will know them by their fruit. Do people get bunches of grapes from thorny weeds, or do they get figs from thistles? In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, and every rotten tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can\u2019t produce bad fruit. And a rotten tree can\u2019t produce good fruit. Every tree that doesn\u2019t produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire.
